Terms of service

These terms apply to DukanMart, the shop software at dukanmart.in. Using it means accepting them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a shop, you are confirming that you may bind that shop.

There is no self-serve signup. We create each shop's account with the shopkeeper, and the owner then adds their own staff and decides what each of them may do.

Keep sign-in details to the person they belong to. A till is often shared, so a shared password is a real risk: whatever is done under an account is treated as done by that account. Tell us straight away if you think someone has got in who should not have.

The items, bills, customers and accounts you enter remain yours. We store and process them to run the service for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell them and we do not use them to train anything.

You can ask for a copy of your data, in a form you can use elsewhere, at any time — including when you leave.

• That what you put in is accurate — prices, tax rates, stock counts. The software adds up what you give it.
• That you are entitled to hold the customer details you enter, and that you use them lawfully.
• Your own tax and regulatory obligations. DukanMart produces GST invoices and summaries from the settings you configure; it is a tool, not an accountant, and it does not file anything for you.

Running the service with reasonable care and skill, keeping each shop's data isolated from every other shop's, and telling you without undue delay if something happens to it.

We do not promise the service is never unavailable. It depends on the internet, on your devices, and on third parties. The app is built to keep working through a dropped connection where it can, but a shop should be able to fall back to writing a bill by hand.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost custom, lost goodwill — and our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can stop using DukanMart whenever you like, and ask us to delete or return your data. We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully, or that puts the service or other shops at risk, and we will say why when we do.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell the shops using the service rather than quietly editing this page. The date at the top says when it last changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
